If you ask the last 2 guys I’ve dated, they would say I “made the first move.” At first I was a smidge embarrassed about this at first but then I realized, hey I get what I want and it’s paid off! 😉
Recently, I met someone who I thought was cute and they were obviously familiar with the gym so I used that as my excuse to go talk to him. You guys know by now that I can talk about exercise for hours. He told me he has a few guest passes at his gym and suggested I go with him some time and we exchanged numbers! I texted him a couple days later and we set up a time to meet and he would show me around.
That time was this morning, he got me in, asked what “day” it was for me (back/bi) and then he put in his headphones and hit the treadmill. Haha! Gotcha!
This gym was MUCH bigger than the little station gym I usually go to but I liked it a lot. Unfortunately, I felt like I spent a lot of time wandering around looking at where everything was and trying to find what/where I could work out. Plus, I didn’t want to look like a total newbie! (Who cares!? me… but I shouldn’t have!)
I mentioned this a little to my new friend and he told me that it looked like I knew what I was doing. I mean, I DO. It was just different than my normal gym routine. I don’t know if I’ll become a full fledged member of this new gym. There are pros- a big one being that it is SO MUCH closer, but there are cons as well…
I came home and ate my post workout snack with the true love of my life! Oats with 1/2 scoop cinnamon swirl protein powder.
